(the Company) was first established under the name "Thai Polymer Lens Company Limited" on 8th March 1991 by the Pracharktam family to produce organic lenses, to compliment the existing production line of Thai Optical Company Limited, manufacturing mineral lenses since 1961.

The Company’s organic lenses, in additional to widespread domestic distribution in Thailand, are exported to numerous countries around the world. The factory is in the area of 20 Rai which located in the north of Bangkok on Bangbuathong-Suphanburi Road, in Nonthaburi,

In 2009, the Company bought a land for the expansion of production capacity. The new 4 storey factory, covering 6,000 square meters of space, was built and used for some production lines moving from the old place. The Company also has started using the system ‘lean manufacturing’ for production management. Using this system is estimated to reduce the production costs by 15 % which can help serving the amount of future purchasing orders from the Company’s alliances. The new factory can be used to start the production in the first quarter of 2010. For the old factory, there will be renovation in order to suit the other production lines in 2010.

At present, the amount of registered capital of the Company is 475 million Baht, which is the paid- up capital 468.75 million Baht, and remains unpaid of 6.25 million Baht due to the reservation of 6.25 million shares for supporting the right to use purchase warrant. Now nobody uses this right because the Company determines to have the first act on August1, 2010.

Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited and its Subsidiary Companies manufacture and distribute optical lenses. Products can be divided into 4 groups:

1. Organic lenses sub-divided into 4 categories:
   1.1 CR39®
   1.2 Photochromic Lenses
   1.3 High Index Lenses
   1.4 High Impact Resistant Lenses
2. Mineral Lenses
3. Prescription Lenses
4. Other products and services such as Glass Molds, lens coating and multi-coating

Products of Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited and its Subsidiary company are distributed under 70 brands on an “OEM” (Original Equipment Manufacturer) basis, and under the Company’s own brand “Excelite”.
